We now have natural gas line to the house, meter has been set and the furnace is warming the house up!

Insulation in the ceilings

The insulation was blown into the attics today.

The drywall has been hung

In two days a bunch of guys hung the drywall in the entire house!

Insulation

The last few weeks Ron and I have been putting the faced batts of insulation into the garage walls and also unfaced batts in the interior walls and ceiling between floors for sound proofing...this was quite the job...it took a lot longer than we anticipated, but I believe we are now ready for drywall to be hung.

More perimeter tile

Brick is almost done

The masons worked on the front porch for the last three days and it has been covered because it has been so cold. They removed the cover today....I love it....especially how they blended in the bottom area of the porch!!

Start of perimeter tile on septic field

Boring again, I know...but because of the soil conditions we were required to have a perimeter tile around the leach field.

The septic tanks were install today...boring I know, but I think it is kind of interesting. I never knew what they looked like before.

The deck is complete

The guys have been working on the deck the last couple of weeks, a couple of the days were cold cold when they were working but wanted to get paid before the holidays.

Drilling the well

Even though it has been raining pretty good for the last two days, since the location of the well is not far off of the construction drive they drilled the well today. 116 feet deep and 70 gallons per minute...a really good well I'm told :)

More retaining walls

Whenever it dries out they work on the retaining walls.

Front Porch

It may seem like is has slowed way down, but that is just from the outside...all the mechanicals are almost finished and getting ready for insulation.

Between the rains we finally got the porches poured so that we can get the brick done hopefully soon!
